Sicilian ladyfingers are simple and genuine biscuits that lend themselves to multiple uses. The ladyfingers, which take their name from the original region of Savoy, are sweet and light biscuits with a very crumbly and spongy consistency. The shape, a flattened cylinder with rounded edges, is reminiscent of a large finger and for this reason in English they are called lady fingers, i.e. lady fingers, while in France they are called biscuit à la cuillère, i.e. biscuit spoon.
